Quickly making a name for himself with richly detailed, and very entertaining storytelling; John Meagher takes the reins for an evening of top class comedy in the Library Locker Room.
Fern Brady is a comedian from Edinburgh and has been performing stand up since 2010. In 2013 she quit her day job working with male ex convicts after Stewart Lee saw a clip of her on Youtube and put her on The Alternative Comedy Experience (Comedy Central). Since then she has performed stand up on a number of TV shows including 8 out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Seann Walsh’s Late Night Comedy Spectacular (BBC3), Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), The One Show (BBC1) and Viceland’s new series Brexit Stage Left. She is a regular panellist on BBC Radio Scotland’s political panel show Breaking the News. Other radio work includes Radio 4’s State of the Nations, Radio 4Xtra, the Today Programme and Shaun Keaveny’s show on BBC 6Music.
Now based in London, she has had two sold out critically acclaimed runs at the Fringe with her solo shows “People Are Idiots” (2015) and “Male Comedienne” (2016). Following the success of Male Comedienne, she recently signed a deal with US producers Comedy Dynamics and recorded her first stand up special with them.
Ryan Dalton, whose quick-witted, cheeky, and sometimes naughty stories are performed with an aggressive charm. Ryan brings his frustrations to the audience, whether it be a story of an uncomfortable hangover in St Lucia or tales of the tricky guests during his time working as a zoo keeper, he tells his stories with the pent-up anger of a criminal yet the voice of an angel” Ryan performs at some of the premier clubs across the UK including: The Comedy Store, The Stand, Backyard Comedy, and is host of the hugely successful “Comedy Wire” shows in South London.
Fiona Ridgewell has a skewed look at her life experiences whilst continually looking to achieve a fairy-tale life.
She has won a number of stand up comedy competitions including 'The Blackout' at Up The Creek (five times). Beat the gong at the Comedy Store London, made it to the semi-final of the renowned competition 'So You Think You're Funny?', and again a semi finalist in the Funny Women competition. Most recently a finalist in Comedy Knights 2016 and Max Turner 201; she is gathering a following for her great routines, and incredible charm.
Closing the evening we have the amazing Matthew McAloone who is tearing up the comedy scene all the way from Belfast to South Africa and everywhere in between.
