Need to relax? Tired? Not finding time for yourself? Come and join our meditation classes and spend time to be more relaxed and calm in your mind, body and spirit.

We’re very excited to announce the launch of our Ecolife Meditation Classes. We will be running weekly classes on Tuesdays from 7 till 8.30pm.

Our first course will consist of 7 classes that will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself by connecting you to your essential nature, healing your inner child* and balancing your chakras.

In case that wasn’t enough, it has been proven that developing a regular meditation practice is conducive to many mental, emotional and physical health benefits including reduced stress levels, decreased levels of cortisol- the stress hormone- improved attention, increased creativity, increased feelings of compassion, an ability to objectively analyse ourselves, better control over processing pain and emotions, lower levels of depression, better sleep patterns and the list continues.

THE SEVEN SECRETS TO LIFE MEDITATION COURSE DATE

Class 1 - How Can I Be Me - Tuesday 5th of April 2016 7.00pm - 8.30pm

The first class focuses on what it means to be present and to live in the now. It looks at how everything in modern life goes too fast and how many people are operating in environments that cause their minds and their thoughts to go at great speeds. It gives practical ways of integrating slower ways of living which allow people to access the present moment more frequently in their life.

Class 2 - Am I Alone in All This - Tuesday 12th of April 2016 7.00pm - 8.30pm

The second class introduces the concept that we are all connected and therefore we are not alone, we are all part of a larger whole. The illusion of being alone stems from separation and there are scientific examples showing this. The practical exercises seek to allow people to build or to rebuild connections with others.

Class 3 - Can I Control My Thoughts - Tuesday 19th of April 2016 7.00pm - 8.30pm

The third class looks at thoughts and how thoughts do not make up who we are. There is a constant stream of thoughts and it is up to us to choose which ones we want to receive and which ones we do not want. There is scientific evidence for the power of thought and then practical techniques for controlling thoughts and for selecting thoughts that are empowering in life.

Class 4 - Why Am I Here - Tuesday 26th of April 2015 7.00pm - 8.30pm

The fourth class looks at the fact that we are here on Earth to become aware – aware of who we really are and aware of why we chose to come here. It is explained that through awareness, or mindfulness as it is also known, you can reduce many modern day ills and lead to a more productive and happy mind-set. The scientific evidence for this is presented and there are many practical examples of how to put awareness into everyday life.

Class 5 - What is The Most Powerful Energy - Tuesday 3rd of May 2016 7.00pm - 8.30pm

The fifth class deals with vibrational energies and love. It looks at ways of measuring energy and the highest form of vibration which is love. There is scientific proof of how different levels of energy affect things followed by a discussion on different forms of love and what love really means. The chapter ends with practical techniques to allow people to engage more actively with the vibration of love in their day to day lives.

Class 6 - What Happens When I Die - Tuesday 10th of May 2016 7.00pm - 8.30pm

The sixth class deals with reincarnation. It talks about how reincarnation is accepted in many Eastern practices and what it actually means. It looks into evidence for reincarnation and includes exercise to enable people to recognise reincarnation in their own lives.

Class 7 - What is the Universal Secret - Tuesday 17th of May 2016 7.00pm - 8.30pm

The seventh class explains the universal secret, which is the ultimate secret of them all. There is an explanation on the size of the universe and how vast it is as well as the scientific evidence for the beginning of the universe. The complexities and intricacies of creation are also looked at. The chapter concludes with exercises on recognising how the universe and creation is a part of all of us.

Why Yoga and Mindfulness - because I worked for years in London as an interior architect and I was hooked on exercise. I obsessed about getting my fix and escaping work in my lunch hour, before or after work. To start with I enjoyed vigorous workouts but as pressure and responsibility increased I was more drawn towards a balanced state. So Yoga and Mindfulness. I don’t know what I would have been like without becoming conscious of my stress levels and learn how to bring joy to my working day. I found the combination of conscious movement and breath to be particularly good at creating a content and resourceful state at work.

My classes:

I teach a Slow Flow Vinyasa or Hatha focused on alignment and breath. I use Breath and Mindfulness to bring attention to the body and calm or enliven the nervous system.

When I teach I know how important transitions are. Spaces of silence and stillness reset our nervous system. In this space is easier to let go of resistance and we return to being grounded by our breath. We start to move with a renewed contentment and energy. We can let go of competitive behaviour and practice for ourselves. I like to start slow and then move into poses, strong and with awareness. Breathe and align, tone and lengthen, calm and focused. I aim to leave my students feeling content and alive.
