Blyszczynski at The Library - ArtWorks London based artist painter Leszek Blyszczynski will be showing his new collection of works at The Library from 18th of July. In this exhibition, Blyszczynski will take you on a journey in his private space.
Experimentation with technique is one of the foundations of his work. A bold step away from the traditional, yet incorporating many elements and materials we are all familiar with. Scraping, sanding the surface of the painted canvas, the use of different materials such as paper, wood, cement, glues or metal gives licence for Blyszczynski to express his freedom, but we are also reminded that this is all achieved within the every-day, physical surroundings. When asked about the exhibition, Leszek said “I am delighted to be asked by The Library to exhibit my work, the culmination of last few years of passionate work, I hope the viewer can see the ways I have taken everyday media to allow us all to escape the every-day environment.”
About the artist: Blyszczynski gained his degree from the Academy of Fine Art in Cracow. Although painting constitutes the main body of his work, he is also responsible for several art installations and performances such as Sub Jowe (Poland), Konglomeart (Germany), I had no dream (UK) or Personal Puzzles (UK). He has exhibited at galleries and festivals worldwide.
