A take-home kit containing all materials and full instructions is also included in the price. Further kits and tools are available to purchase on the day.

Concertina Window Artist’s Book with Tracey Bush

13:00 – 15:00, 16:00 – 18:00

This structure is ideal for use as an artist’s book as it can be unfolded for display. The simple concertina structure is made more complex by the addition of reverse folds, which also provide opportunity for the interesting interaction of image and text. In this workshop, guests utilise maps, charts and found ephemera to create a book which reflects an aspect of London.

Tracey Bush has made artists’ books for the past 20 years. Her first books were based on the River Thames and its histories. Most recently, she has been artist-in-residence at the Publisher Hub at Winchester School of Art, where she used the risograph process to print the pages of Dusk, which won the DB Clothworkers prize (2nd) in 2017. Her books are in the collections of the Tate, British Library, Bodleian Library and the Yale Centre for British Art. You can see her work at jaggedart gallery over the week.
